It has often been said that Calvary Chapel Living Water was born out of the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in 2012. In many ways, that is true. In the aftermath of the storm, Cornerstone Calvary Chapel, in Howell, NJ established a relief outreach team to serve the Silverton community of Toms River. For years, the team faithfully provided meals, hosted prayer gatherings, and led Bible studies—ministering to practical needs while revealing a deep spiritual hunger and a ready harvest in the area.

Yet the Lord’s plan began long before the storm. He had already been planting a calling in the heart of Burt Salisbury to one day shepherd a congregation. In God's perfect provision and timing, these two paths converged, opening the door for Calvary Chapel Living Water to launch in 2015 at Silver Bay Elementary School.

In 2017, God graciously provided our current location, where we have witnessed Him grow and strengthen the body in remarkable ways. As we remain rooted in His Word and aligned with His will, we continue to see His faithfulness unfold.
